Long Time no see !

Hello all,

I wanted to say that this blog was not dead… and I actually pay attention to my traffic. It s also much easier for me to use Twitter, especially when traveling.

I’ve just been busy lately, moving with wife and kid in a new country, taking a new job, turnin 30 , learning to Mix (using Numark CUE and Total Control Table) , and traveling in exotic places for Microsoft. 

Working in Redmond is great, living in the Seattle greater Area is better than expected, and Microsoft is about to ship pretty nice things this FY…. so far, so good.

I also really enjoy using US Only web services (without playin with a fake proxy), like Hulu, Mint (see below)  or the XboX LA Video store.

I was at Techcrunch 50 this week, looking for hi-po startups and potential partners.

In a nutshell:

- Great speakers, great networking, great companies (not on stage, but on the DemoPit).

- Tons of  feature companies. That was scary. I thought we’d see the Top 50 companies of the year ??

- Very few enterprise Software companies.The Winner, Yammer.com, reminds me of a BlueKiwi for the poors.

- Europe does not exist for these guys. It’s just another planet.  No big deal.

- It was a great opportunity for me to go and thank companies like Xobni or Mint, who built services that I use every day.  I also bumped into the ZocDoc guys, (yet another Koshlas Ventures company developing on the MS stack). They have one of the coolest mission statement in the world: They help sick people to find a doctor. No Web 2.0 bullshit, just a useful piece of software. the king of company I really LOVE .

- Best companies i’ve seen: Fotonauts, GoGrid.

I’ll be in London and Paris starting next Monday (22), happy to re-connect with friends.
